1. Make sure to set the right path to Aiolos main configuration folder "[Drive]\[AiolosAppMainDir]" in text field, or use “Set main folder” button to locate the folder.
That will be in most case automatic when you open the program if you have Aiolos legacy installed on the computer you run it on.
2. If it is a totally new configuration you have to first create an empty configuration database "aiodef.mdb" with Aiolos legacy tool AioConfig or copy the one that comes with the installation of Aiolos Forecast Studio, in “C:\Aiolos\AiolosForecastStudio\@Samples” folder.
If you already have a configuration that you want to add new series or weather, models to you can skip this step 2.
3. Create configuration files for the step you want to make (see below descriptions) with Notepad by copy cells from Excel sheet and paste into the text file.
Or copy cells from SeriesConfiguration.xlsm Excel sheet and paste in the grid for selected tab.
4. When all configurations are created, push the buttons in the order 1 - 5 (or just the function you want to do and have prepared configuration files for). When the configuration is done the button turns to green. If there is some problem the button turns red.
Note! If you manually want to create series/connections in the database with SQL query instead you can write all steps to text files with SQL queries by push the button "Write step 1-5 to SQL query in text file instead of to database!" and then nothing is done in the configuration database.
