The settings in the dialogue has the following settings (see picture together with table below):

1. Name |
Name will be used in the batch-job that initiates the synchronization to know which protocol to use |
2. Connection string |
Defines where the source is and what format it has, examples can be given by clicking the icon to the right of the field |
3. Source/Table |
Provides extra information to the connection string, e.g. in the case of Excel it defines the sheet name. |
4. Update/Create/Delete |
Compares the existing information in Aiolos with the source and looks for differences in the following way: Update – Updates series information in Aiolos if other information exist in the source than in Aiolos. Create – Creates series in Aiolos if series exists in the source that doesn’t exist in Aiolos. Delete – Deletes series in AIolos if series exists in Aiolos that doesn’t exist in source. They can all be used in combination or one by one. |
5. Default Model |
Provides information to Aiolos to create a new model using the settings from a “Sample model”. The pre-existing Sample models can be altered and new ones can be added, by creating a model as any other ordinary model but by supplying the name on the form “Sample *”, where * represents any characters, see example below:

6. Synchronization fields |
Connects desired fields in Aiolos with where inside the Source corresponding information is found, or sets any given default value written in the protocol ( in column “Default value”). Note! TimeZone default is to import Date/Time from local SystemSettings.
