The server needs to have Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) installed and configured. This is a component included in all of Microsoft’s operating systems. Currently the latest version of IIS is 10 and this is the best one to run Aiolos with and it is included in Server 2019. The configuration of IIS requires some care. It is also possible to run Aiolos with earlier version but the installation is trickier and might take extra time. If the server already runs other applications, especially on the IIS, this will complicate the installation as well. In that case Aiolos web site has to set up on a separate port number. We recommend using the latest version of Windows Server and as of this date Windows Server 2019.
The server may be a virtual machine.
The server also needs the full installation of .NET framework 4.6.1
Minimum hardware configuration:
• Dual-core CPU
• 8 Gb RAM
• Fault tolerant disk system with 50 Gb available for Aiolos (more disk space is needed if files is saved for later follow up, for that function we recoment at least 150 GB)
• System disk for Aiolos can be C:, D: or other local disk. We don’t recommend a file share to store Aiolos system data on because it may affect the performance.
Export from Aiolos is usually set up to the local server. If the export from Aiolos should be made directly to other server or mapped drive the Aiolos web service “Application pool” identity has to be set up with a user account that has read/write access on that server or mapped drive and the local disks.
