Connection to Aiolos Forecast Studio and other programs is made by Windows Remote App Connection. RemoteApp and Desktop Connections uses HTTPS to connect to the server. In order to connect properly, the client operating system must trust the SSL certificate of the RD Web Access server.
All traffic by Remote App connection is https (SSL).
The program can start from a web browser where you log in and see the icons on the web site. You can also make a configuration at you client PC so you have an Aiolos Forecast Studio icon in start menu. You start and run the program as if it is installed on your own computer. The client machines does not need Administrator rights.
There can be some security settings on the users PC that can cause problem to connect. There can also be a company policy that prevents the user from connecting to this RDApp. In that case you have to consulting your IT to open up and give rights for connecting using Remote applications.
The clients need to have http 1.1 access to port 80 and port 443.
