Good things to consider, written from a Gmail account:
• The program reads from the primary inbox
• Add mailsender to safe-list, to avoid Junk-mail filtering.
• Activate IMAP inside Gmail-settings
• Allow less secure Apps to access the account and read the mails. https://myaccount.google.com/security
• Depending on the Fire wall settings, it might be needed to open Port 993 for IMAP-traffic on the server. (Check with your IT department)
