If the ‘Observed’ forecast range is checked as below, the following settings are hard coded regardless of the extract settings
•The forecast type will be set to ‘Observed’
•The ‘Use normal’ setting will be set to false. This to ensure that not normal weather is used.
•The settings for weather observation availability will be set to ‘Unrestricted’
Settings that will be affected by the extract settings:
•Extracted period: - This setting overrides the chunk length setting for recreated forecasts, i.e. the length of each sub forecast that will be pasted together into a time series.
•Period to ignore: The time span between the virtual forecast dates and the sub forecast start dates. This will affect the settings for the possible restrictions for the forecast series data. Since the forecast type is observed, the settings for the availability of weather forecast data are irrelevant.
If changes are made to to extracts or extractcollections, the selection may loose its connection with the extract. In that case, the extract must be respecified. This behavior will be corrected with a future configuration database update.
