Aiolos Forecast Studio (AFS) is as you see just an interface that communicates with the web service. All calculations and forecasting is made by the Aiolos server. Thus, we do not need the AFS interface to make automatic load forecasts and export them.
Instead of making manual forecasts and exports in the AFS user interface, we are in the automatic mode using Aiolos ConsoleUI to run in the background. AiolosConsoleUI.exe is found in the progam catalog and can be accessed over webservice in the same way as Aiolos Forecast Studio. This means that it can be triggered from a client computer and not only from the Aiolos server. When on the Aiolos server use AiolosConsoleUI-local.exe to avoid unnecessary load of web service. All command line and parameters settings are described in the ConsoleUI manual.
A process can be started by Aiolos Forecast Studio using the Batch file script user and be triggered by running a forecast or an import or export protocool.
The process can also be run a certain time of the day by starting the process using windows task scheduler.
