Interaction of adaption settings

The image above shows how the three periods “Adaption window”, “Quarantine” and “Length” interact.  Also of significance for the result is when the latest data was obtained. In case A, we can see that the quarantine period is so short that it does not affect the behaviour, whereas in case B the adaption period is offset back in time. In both cases the Adaption window is big enough for adaption to take place, as the last hour in the Length period falls within the Adaption window. If we were to halve the Adaption window, in both cases no adaption would take place.
