Ignoring wind or global radiation

Normally, the global radiation for the present hour, 1 and two hours back are included directly in the model. The wind is only included implicitly when calculating the wind chill effect for the temperature. The model will use the resulting ‘apparent’ or ‘equivalent’ temperature’ when constructing moving averages for the temperature, 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours back. If these variables is missing in the weather data or if you find that the forecast quality for the wind and/or global radiation is deficient or that these variables has too little impact on the load to be used as predictors, these can be excluded by checking the boxes “Ignore global” and/or “Ignore wind”.
