When recreating forecasts, the forecast period will be divided into shorter periods or ‘chunks’ of the length specified by the setting ‘Length of extract’.
Each sub-period will coincide with the forecasted period used when producing the forecast for that sub-period. Thus, the start of the sub-period will also be the start of the forecast used. The forecasting time for that forecast is assumed to be ‘Hours to ignore’ number of hours before the start of the sub-period. E.g. if ‘Period to ignore’ is set to 12 hours and 15 minutes, the forecast is assumed to be made at 11:45 if the sub-period start at mid-night.
