Forecast logs

If “Write log” is checked, Aiolos will produce a log file containing information about the process of calculating the forecast. The file is given the same name as the load series and is stored in the sub-directory “log” under the Aiolos main data directory. This can be compiled and analysed by right-clicking on the forecast series in the series tree after the forecast and selecting “View forecast log”. Whenever the log level (in the system settings) is set to ‘Info’ or ‘Debug’, the file will contain detailed information along with the raw data used for calculating the forecast, otherwise it will only contain a summary (log level set to ‘Error’ or ‘Warning’).

Possible log settings combinations:

      Write Log file - on

Log level - Error or Warning: Logging for the weighting process disabled. Summary log for the forecasting process written

Log level - Info or Debug: Logging for the weighting process enabled. Detailed log for the forecasting process written

      Write Log file - off

Log level - Error or Warning: All logging disabled

Log level - Info or Debug: Logging only for the weighting process enabled
