Using temperature, solar irradiation, air pressure, air saturation, wind and snow reflection (albedo) the evapotranspiration model component calculates the potential evapotranspiration, i.e. the evaporation that would occur from the surface of the ground if access to the water were unlimited. In the next step it then calculates the actual evaporation based on the access to the water in the reservoir, the water storage earlier denoted as M.
If the evaporation can be considered negligible, this model component can be disabled by checking “Ignore evapotranspiration” in the training period field.
