In the DayType table, you will define a collection of rules that builds up a day type. The rules are used to define your day types and it is all configurable. Below are a few examples explaining some of the default rules and day types that you have to choose from.
• A rule is 25th of December and the day type is Christmas day
• Day type Sunday includes only Sunday-rule
• Day type Weekend includes both Sunday and Saturday rule
• Ascension day is a day type that goes by the rule Easter Sunday + 39 days
• Post 1st May holiday goes by the rule “2nd May If this day is a Friday”
In day type properties, you will also define second choice day type and the color to be shown in calendar view. Using ‘Options’ you are able to add new holidays by start and stop date. You also find the priority setting to handle colliding day types.
