Data checks

It is important to perform a data check before the forecast is started so that you can be sure that a load history, weather history and weather forecast are available for the period for which the load forecast is to be produced.

The setting for how the data control is to be performed is performed in the model settings for the relevant calculation. Make sure you set meaningful time indications for how long load or weather data can be missing so as to get the warnings needed prior to a forecast. You can find out more about data status warnings in the section entitled “Data status check”.

When a new load forecast start date is set or when a selected load forecast is carried out for the first time, a data check will be carried out automatically. You can choose to omit this check by unchecking the check box below the traffic light.

This check will not be carried out automatically again until you have changed the date period for the load forecast. When you have done this, the box will be checked again.

If you just want to carry out a data check, you can always click on the traffic light.
