The model types Daily – A (Aiolos) and Daily – C (Cilia) are intended for electric demand, gas or district heating forecasts where the measured consumption only is available as daily values.

The daily values should be imported into Aiolos as hourly energy values adding up to the daily total or as hourly power values equaling the daily power value.

The models works in the same way as the corresponding Aiolos 2.0 and Cilia 2.0 models but convert the weather predictors into daily resolution before estimating the weather dependency. In addition, instead of three momentaneous temperature and global radiation predictors only one of each are used.

The forecast output is also in hourly resolution, which for each day consists of constant values adding up to the total daily energy, or in case of the system forecasting power, each value equals the daily forecasted power value.
