There are two ways of adding something to the database. You can either create a new empty object and set all settings manually, or you can create one with the settings from an object that already exists.
To create a new object, you go to the tab in the grid that you are interested in and in the Properties window click on one of the buttons with the plus symbol (depending on how you want to create the object).
To change the settings for an object in the database, you select what you want to change in the grid and make the changes either in the Properties window or in the grid. (NOTE: Some settings are only visible in the grid)
To save new objects and changes, you have to click on the Save All button under Grid Controls if you want to save all changes. Alternatively, click on the diskette symbol in the Properties window or the diskette symbol in the grid if you want to save changes for a single object.
