If you know that a series has non-existent or very weak weather dependence, to prevent the model estimating a false weather dependency you can select one of the weather-independent models. The model “Weather independent – A”, where “A” stands for Aiolos, uses the same base period as the Aiolos model. The difference consists in the fact that for the weather-independent model no weather parameters are permitted to be included in the model. Only the day type pattern will be tested for significance and will possibly be included in the final model. The maximum model size will accordingly be 1 if “Max model size” is other than 0. If “Max model size” is 0, the forecast will be constant. The significance limits of “F-value include” and “F-value exclude” are only used when testing the day type pattern
The model “Weather independent – C”, where “C” stands for Cilia, uses the same base period as the Cilia model. Otherwise the model is identical with the model “Weather Independent – A” above.
