For different formats there are different selections to make for defining how AFS is to read the import file. AFS needs to know, for instance, the intended unit for the imported data.
In the import protocol, the unit is entered in the field “Unit in import file”. The imported unit is converted in Aiolos to MWh, which is the unit normally used in Aiolos.
The suffix “h” indicates that data is in the form of energy units. This is important for time resolutions other than 1 hour. If the import file contains 15-min values as energy units and they are to be stored in the file as 30-min values, they have to be aggregated. If, on the other hand, the values are power output units, they must instead be averaged.
