Setting up the forecast series

In order to import fractions to the application the series need to be set up in the right way.

The child series needs to have unique and clear names that the import can read their ID from, such as “Profil_ABB” or “ChildSeries1189” where both ABB and 1189 in this example would be their ID. The names can be set up in any way, just as long as the ID field is in the same position in all series.

The parent series needs to have a supplier and a balance code specified in the Ref1 field. Both a supplier and a balance code is needed for the import and they both need to be written in the reference field with a “|” character separating them, which means it should look like this ‘balancecode|suppliercode’. E.g. “3|11400” or “BOR|4566AA”.

When the series are set up in the described way then it is time to set up the necessary autopar file for importing the values. Instructions for setting up the autopar file, and the necessary xml-file for the database import, can be found in the ConsoleUI manual.
