The software is supported on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003 Sever, Windows 2008 server. The software runs on both 32-bit and 64 bit versions of the OS. At the moment (2010) it will not make use of more than one CPU processor. To run in a network environment it will need access to a share where it can store its data files. All clients will need access to that share.
Data, such as load history, weather history and weather forecasts, is imported into Aiolos by small programs called import protocols. These programs are normally setup as scheduled tasks on the Aiolos server machine so that the imports are done automatically.
The software uses Microsoft .NET framework 2.0. This needs to be installed on the machines running Aiolos.
