The server needs to have Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) installed and configured. This is a component included in all of Microsoft’s operating systems. Currently the latest version of IIS is 7 and this is the best one to run Aiolos with and it is included in Server 2008. The configuration of IIS requires some care. It is also possible to run Aiolos with earlier version (IIS 6 with Win 2003) but the installation is trickier and might take extra time. If the server already runs other applications, especially on the IIS, this will complicate the installation as well.
The server also needs the full installation of .NET framework 2.0 and 4.0
Minimum hardware configuration:
•Dual-core CPU
•4 Gb RAM
•Fault tolerant disk system with 50 Gb available for Aiolos
The server may be a virtual machine.
