Aiolos is normally used in a multi-user environment. The data and configuration is stored on a network share on a server, and the software is installed on the machines that should run it. There is also often an installation of Aiolos on a machine dedicated to fetch data on a daily basis, this can be the server with the share or another machine.
On the network share there is a directory intended for easy upgrading of all clients. This directory is called Autopatch and contains all the Aiolos files that normally are upgraded in a new release. The system can be configured to check this directory for new versions at startup. Updates from this directory can also be forced by running AioUpdate.exe that also resides in the Autopatch directory.
