All information are structured in blocks, i.e. in main blocks and sub blocks where:
• Each block starts with a block heading
• Each block ends with an ”end of block” –identifier or a new block heading.
• A number of standardised block headers/identifiers are defined
Three main blocks are defined: The Heading, Text and Data blocks. The main block identifiers are:
• [BOH], [EOH] (begin of heading, end of heading)
• [BOD], [EOD] (begin of data, end of data)
• [BOT], [EOT] (begin of text, end of text)
In addition identifiers for the start/end of the information is defined as:
• [BOF], [EOF], (begin of file, end of file)
For the main block: Heading, the following sub blocks are defined:
• [Common] (includes definitions how to read data)
• [Station] ( geographical information, parameter information)
• [Grid] (similar to [Station], however data are described in a grid net)
